So EA has been promoting their new game, “Spore”, for years now. I’m sure they put more then a few bucks into its development but were they building the game or a virus? It appears Spore comes with a nasty little DRM program attached that basically ruins the experience. It would be like drinking a glass of Cristal out of a wax paper cup, it doesn’t matter how good the champagne is if it comes in a crappy package.
User are voicing their opinion all over the net. Amazon has the game with a 1 start customer rating overall and 1,454 of the 1,556 total ratings are 1 start. I doubt it will ever recover unless amazon does something like “erase” the bad ratings.
That just may happen too. Gamespot is already siding with the corporate giant in giving a big “F U” to the users. It has started to threaten to ban users who post negative comments. I am glad to see they believe in free speech.
What does EA think? They’ll throw us a bone. They are going to lighten up with Red Alert 3 by giving us 5 installs instead of 3 with Spore. Wow, thanks EA! Don’t hurt your back bending over to pat the little people on their heads!
