I haven’t seen much on the news sites about this but I did get an email from my child’s principal this morning on this recall:
Good Morning,
We have received information about some potentially harmful Halloween candy. There are some concerns regarding gold wrapped chocolate coins made in China. They were sold at Costco in bulk and also in smaller packs at dollar stores and bulk stores. The brand is Sherwood and the chocolate contains melamine which was responsible for the death of children in China earlier this year. It has been pulled off the shelves at Costco but people could have bought the candy before it was pulled off the shelves.
