I thought I would share my "Angry Rock" Pandora station with all my visitors. I don't think I have blogged about pandora yet, but I should have. I use this site almost daily, usually more than once daily. It basically replaces the need for radio in my life. It streams free music to your computer, but the thing I really like is it streams music to my iPod and smart phone too!! I just dock my iPod into my speakers downstairs, call up the Pandora app and select my station. Free music. Check out the site, create your own station then, if you have an iPod touch or iPhone, load their app. This site gets 5 stars!

If you want to listen to what I listen to while working, exercising, or shoveling snow (yes, my WiFi to iPod works outside too!) then check out my "Angry Rock" station.

(As always this is my personal opinion and not a paid post, but if someone wants to pay me I am open to negotiation.)

So people who know me also know I play World of Warcraft and people who play World of Warcraft know the much anticipated expansion kit came out earlier this month. While people flocked to pre-order this "upgrade" and stay up for midnight store openings to get their copy I stayed away, waiting for the craziness to end.

Long story short, I went online today and checked my local circuit city store for inventory and bingo, it said ready for pickup in 24 minutes! I ordered although I was pretty sure they didn't have any. Showed up at the store and got the "sorry sir, there was a computer inventory issue" story. They did have 1 collector's edition left though for $30 more. Well, I wasn't going to pay $30 more, but I'd pay $6. You see if you order something online at circuit city and it's not ready in 24 minutes you get a $24 gift card, even if it's because of a "computer inventory glitch". So downstairs sits a spanking new, still sealed Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft Collector's Edition.

It seems the expansion sold out however the "collector's edition" did not. Apparently there was a shipping problem and while the regular version made it to the shelves for the pre-orders and midnight release party the collectors edition did not. So the uber-geeks likely picked up the regular edition and abandoned their pre-ordered collectors kit. Now my only dilemma is do I open it or sell it on ebay? Last time the collector's edition fetched about $150.

So EA has been promoting their new game, "Spore", for years now. I'm sure they put more then a few bucks into its development but were they building the game or a virus? It appears Spore comes with a nasty little DRM program attached that basically ruins the experience. It would be like drinking a glass of Cristal out of a wax paper cup, it doesn't matter how good the champagne is if it comes in a crappy package.

User are voicing their opinion all over the net. Amazon has the game with a 1 start customer rating overall and 1,454 of the 1,556 total ratings are 1 start. I doubt it will ever recover unless amazon does something like "erase" the bad ratings.

That just may happen too. Gamespot is already siding with the corporate giant in giving a big "F U" to the users. It has started to threaten to ban users who post negative comments. I am glad to see they believe in free speech.

What does EA think? They'll throw us a bone. They are going to lighten up with Red Alert 3 by giving us 5 installs instead of 3 with Spore. Wow, thanks EA! Don't hurt your back bending over to pat the little people on their heads!

World of Warcraft players have been waiting for weeks for patch 2.2 with voice chat. Not for the new feature, but to see how much the voice chat feature will slow down their game client. Sure, voice chat makes the game a whole lot easier when you are playing in a group, however, most guilds and players already use external voice chat software and are happy with it. We'll it's been a couple days since 2.2 was rolled out and most players still don't have their answer. You see, Blizzard rolled out the voice chat feature on a select number of servers, but then they shut it off, turned it back on again, shut it off, and finally turned it on again (I think). I even saw it shut off while in game. I logged in, saw the voice tab under my sound options, then a few minutes later got a chat message from a friend asking where the voice chat options were. I looked and they were gone.

See if you have voice chat...look for the tab below.
