Who cares how good Spore is, DRM ruins it.

Posted by David Marcucci

So EA has been promoting their new game, "Spore", for years now.  I'm sure they put more then a few bucks into its development but were they building the game or a virus?  It appears Spore comes with a nasty little DRM program attached that basically ruins the experience.  It would be like drinking a glass of Cristal out of a wax paper cup, it doesn't matter how good the champagne is if it comes in a crappy package.

iResistance is Futile

So I did it. I spent the dough and bought an iPod touch 16GB. I was looking for a "budget" mp3 player and the best I could find (best, not cheapest, there is a difference) was coming in at $20/GB. So I did the math and figured 16Gb would cost $320 and for less than an extra $40 I could get the touch. So this will keep me busy for a while. Now if I can only blog on it. Anyway, not like you don't know what they look like, but here is my latest toy tool.

Blizzard Releases, No They Don’t, Wait They Do, Nope, Yes! Voice Chat in WoW

Posted by David Marcucci

World of Warcraft players have been waiting for weeks for patch 2.2 with voice chat. Not for the new feature, but to see how much the voice chat feature will slow down their game client. Sure, voice chat makes the game a whole lot easier when you are playing in a group, however, most guilds and players already use external voice chat software and are happy with it. We'll it's been a couple days since 2.2 was rolled out and most players still don't have their answer. You see, Blizzard rolled out the voice chat feature on a select number of servers, but then they shut it off, turned it back on again, shut it off, and finally turned it on again (I think). I even saw it shut off while in game. I logged in, saw the voice tab under my sound options, then a few minutes later got a chat message from a friend asking where the voice chat options were. I looked and they were gone.

See if you have voice chat...look for the tab below.
