Ahh, Cheers. That TV classic with Norm, Sam, Carla, Woody, Cliff, Frasier, and all the other great characters. But sometimes you want to go where nobody knows your name, or more specifically, where nobody knows your email address.

So I have decided to take the leap! Well, I’m actually making it into a small step down. I am changing my primary email address! *GASP* Some may ask, “what’s the big deal Dave? I’ve changed my email 25 times in the last 2 years.” Well, I have changed my email once in the last 15 years, and you are insane. Yep, around 1998 or so I changed to my current email address, DMarcucci@yahoo.com from my old address Marcucci@tiac.net. Now I am ready to change again.

But here is the catch, I’m not telling anyone my new address. I’m not posting it online. I’m not signing up for anything using this new address. You see, I get about 80 messages a day (stats from xobni plugin for Outlook) at work and another 50 or so (status from my guessing) on my yahoo account. This excludes spam, automated messages, and other emails I don’t need to “read”. So sometimes it’s hard to know when an important email comes in. So I am going to try to keep this address for personal use and uncluttered by “bacn” messages.

“But Dave! I want your email address!” Well, you can have it and there are two ways to get it. The crappy way, wait for me to email you something from my new address, or you’ll need to solve this complex riddle:

My old address was DMarcucci@yahoo.com and my new email provider is gmail.com but my name didn’t change.

So good luck! I’ll be waiting for all the email to pour in.
