Question #1, Myth #1 – Propery Taxes Will Go Up
Myth #1: People voted against question 1 because they didn't want their property tax to go up.
Reality: If question #1 passed your property tax would have gone up 2.5% and now it's going to go up (*drum roll*) 2.5%.
Election Day Hangover
Well, it is a sad day in the USA. The most liberal congress and likely the most liberal president elect have been joined together much like the gatekeeper and the key master in Ghostbusters. Now, I don't think Gozer will be summoned on top of a New York apartment building to destroy the world (but I do think it is highly more likely we'll have a mini 9/11 repeat in the next 4 years). To make things worse, here in Massachusetts, it appears the potheads all came out to the polls and not only did they make drug dealers much happier but they also screwed it to the tax payers by buying into the idea that less taxes is irresponsible.
A New Dish: Obam a’la Clinton
Seems the fruit never falls far from the tree and it looks like this fruit is more like the rest of them then we thought.
As a state senator, Democrat Barack Obama awarded $75,000 in government grants to a Chicago social service organization led by a rabbi who is also his wife’s cousin, records show.
In 1999, Obama arranged for $50,000 for adult literacy and counseling services offered on Chicago’s South Side by a group called Blue Gargoyle. A $25,000 grant for the group’s youth services followed the next year.
The group’s executive director when the grants were awarded was Capers Funnye, a South Side rabbi and Michelle Obama’s first cousin once removed.
Funnye (pronounced fun-NAY) said Monday there was nothing improper about the way Blue Gargoyle obtained the grants. Obama did not encourage him to apply for the money, he said, and Funnye denied using family connections to pressure Obama to approve the application.

P. Diddy Shows Grasp of Complex Global Macroeconomics
Poor P. Diddy has to live in semi-luxury because of gas prices. Maybe a shout out to his brothers with oil will help him or maybe he was just getting screwed at the airport pump? $250k for a round trip from NY to L.A.? Based upon internet details this should be < $100k. I think John Dvorak had the math right on this week’s TWIT podcast, $100k for gas, another $100k for coke, and $50k for hookers.
